About Onroute.com
Onroute -- the website -- is the result of more than
20 years of travel research, including the writing of two
series of travel and nature-travel guides by Fraser
Bridges -- eight books in all -- which were the
inspiration for this travel site.
Onroute.com was launched in February 1996, and has
expanded to include "
Destinations a virtual travelguide, now covering more
than 250 vacation destinations in the U.S. and Canada.
As well as our travel guides, we offer travel
reservations services, powered by major travel
reservations systems.
We offer hotel, car rental, and airline reservations,
including special guides to accomodations and casinos in
Las Vegas,
Reno, Lake
Tahoe, San
Francisco, and Key
West, plus links to reservations databases with more
than 30,000 hotels around the world. You can also reserve
rooms directly from all "Destinations" pages.
