Big Sur Campground and Cabins
A variety of cabins in a redwood grove along the Big Sur River. Most have fully equipped kitchens and fireplaces. Summer tent cabins are located along the river. Store, laundry, playground, and basketball court. RV sites (up to 8 tons) Reservations recommended

The famous Esalen Institute conducts residential workshops that emphasize potentialities and values of human existence. Weekend and 5-day programs are offered year round. Natural hot springs pools beside the ocean are an added benefit.

This Catholic monastic community offers nine rooms for men and women, as well as two separate hermitages for longer retreats. Guests are invited to liturgical worship, but this is not required. Normally all retreats are silent and non-directed. Room rates are a suggested donation of $45.00 - $55.00 Reservations are usually needed six months in advance.
