Diablo Lake Resort

In the Ross Lake National Recreation Area, this rustic
resort operation has self-sufficient units with kitchens,
on City Light's Diablo Lake, just off Highway 20, the
North Cascades Highway. There is an on-site restaurant.
Ross Lake Resort

You have to walk or take a boat to this unusual resort,
located close to Ross Dam. The resort features cabins
which float on the lake. The units are equipped with
kitchens. It is open from June to late October.
North Cascades Lodge

This long-time institution in the Stehekin Valley is
within the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, with
short and long trails just outside the door. Access is by
boat, ferry, seaplane, or by foot. This is a small, cozy,
rustic lodge in a scenic setting. It is open year-round,
with cross-country ski trails, and showshoeing in
winter.
Silver Bay Inn

This is a very small tourist operation, with cabins, and
maybe a room. The cabins have kitchenettes. Breakfast is
available at an extra charge. The inn offers an overnight
and breakfast package.
Stehekin Valley Ranch

This is a truly rustic place to stay. It has tent-cabins
and shared showers, and meals, for a package price. This
is another seasonal operation, open May through
September.
North Cascades Camping
There are four campgrounds, plus a group campground,
in the Ross Lake National Recreation Area, accessible by
driving along Highway 20.
Goodell Creek Campground is open year-round,
and is the most westerly camping area in the Highway 20
corridor. There are tent and RV sites, but no hookups or
showers.
Newhalem Campground is located at the company
town, and open from mid-June through Labor Day. There is
no limit on your stay at this or any of the other four
campgrounds in the recreation area. A ranger station is
nearby.
Colonial Creek Campground is farther west, next
to the information center and ranger station. It is open
from mid-spring to mid-fall, avoiding the snow.
Hozomeen Campground has remote campsites at the
northeastern corner of the park area, on a trail which
follows the eastern shore of Ross Lake. There is a road
to the campground, accessed by driving through British
Columbia, from the town of Hope, on an unpaved road. This
is the only public boat launch location on Ross Lake.
Lake Chelan National Recreation Area has two
public campgrounds:
Harlequin Campground, in the Stehekin Valley,
is open after the snow leaves, in mid-spring, and closes
in mid-fall. There are no fees and the campground works
on a first come, first served policy. Reservations are
required to use the Harlequin Group Campground. Contact

Purple Point Campground is also in the Stehekin
Valley, with the luxury of nearby showers. There are only
tent sites at this location. Aghain, there are no fees
and, sites are taken on a first come, first registered
basis.
