Travelwriter Fraser Bridges travels the nation's most scenic vacation routes, and reports on attractions along the way. You'll find drives to and inside national and state parks from Maine to Alaska and California, and from New Brunswick (Canada) to New Mexico -- through deserts and Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountain passes.
Places visited include Red River, a rustic ski and summer resort in the New Mexico Rockies, Independence and Lone Pine California, in the historic Owens Valley with the highest Sierra Nevada peaks looming overhead, and Estes Park Colorado, the starting point for the Trailridge Drive through Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park.
