summer 2006.
Cabo Wabo Cantina
At Harvey's Resort Hotel -- Stateline, NV.
Before attending a summer concert at Harvey's outdoor
amphitheater, we dined briefly in the Sammy Hagar
inspired Wabo Cabo restaurant in the lower level at
Harveys.. It's a loud and crowded place with wait lines
often holding up would-be diners. What to expect? The
food was beyond expectations. Harveys is one of the
better places to eat in South Lake Tahoe/Stateline and
Cabo Wabo came through. The cuisine is Mexican -- fish
tacos, tostadas, burritos, etc, plus entrees featuring
steak and other standards with a latin touch. The dishes
we tried were inventive and beyond the ordinary
Mexican/American dining experience.
Forest Buffet
At Harrah's Tahoe Hotel -- Stateline, NV
On the 18th floor, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
including a special seafood buffet on Fridays evenings,
and a Sunday Champagne brunch.
